Best shampoo is Nioxin. You can buy it at professional salons/beauty stores.

Also, get your thyroid checked. It could be b/c of a medical condition.

I also heard prenatal vitamins are good for hair growth/thickness too.

What is the best shampoo for thinning hair?

The Pfizer hair medicine Rogaine actually makes a shampoo for thinning hair and it contains the active drug that in theory helps to restore hair growth. Perhaps that is what you seek.

What is the best shampoo for thinning hair?

THE BEST IS LEANNA'S HAIR PRODUCT BELIEVE ME MY HAIR IS LONG AND THICK AND NOT ONLY DOES IT THICKEN YOU HAIR, IT MAKES IT LONGER CHECK IT OUT!!!!!

What is the best shampoo for thinning hair?

Look for head and shoulders shampoo with Pyrithione Zinc 2%. The regular bottle comes with 1% but 2% is more effective.. Pyrithione Zinc is a DHT (dihydrotestosterone) blocker. DHT is usually the reason for falling hair.

You could also get the shampoo sold at http://www.minoxidil.com - it also contains a fairly power DHT blocker that will help you keep your hair. Minoxidil.com only sells one shampoo - however, you'll need an online consultation before you can purchase anything...

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Over night my hair gets notes and it is really hard to brush. Should i cut my hair 1 inch so it is easyer or keep it long and beautiful?

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Summer is almost over, but the effects of the summer heat on our hair are probably far from gone. The heat may have caused our hair to flatten limply, to get all frizzled up, or simply feel dry. It is because the heat has dried up the moisture from our hair.

But there are ways of solving summer-dried hair. It generally takes creativity and ample application of moisturizing products. Here is how:

1. Flat-looking hair. If your hair looks flat and wilting, you can pull it back and arrange it in a loose bun at the back of your neck. If your hair is not long enough for a bun, you can try fixing it in a ponytail.

You can add more body to your limp hair by applying moisturizer then adding some scrunch into your hair. Dry shampoo also works, or in case of blonde hair, baby powder, at the roots of your hair to soak up moisture. If you want, you can also try lightening the hair or putting highlights, since hair color plumps up hair strands. Keeping the highlights close to your face makes for a heightened effect.

2. Frizzled hair. Frizzled hair needs a lot of moisturizing and conditioning. Treat your frizzled hair to some deep conditioning once a week. You do not have to go to a salon to do this. All you need is to apply your favorite conditioner to your hair after a shampoo, cover your hair with a plastic cap and let your hair stay that way for 30 minutes. An alternative to this is applying olive oil and letting it stay on for 30 minutes, then rinsing it off. Do not blow-dry your hair; instead, just let it dry in the air.

For added moisture to the hair, you can apply gel, a shine serum and other moisturizing products. Also, you can mask the frizzles of your hair by doing it up in a stylish bun.

3. Sun-damaged hair. If your hair has been damaged by the sun, prevent further damage by washing your hair with sunscreen shampoos and by using hats or bandannas when going out.

Of course, these tips to restoring summer-damaged hair will not work if the basics of hair care are not applied. The basics of hair care include:

* Shampooing and conditioning regularly. However, don閳ユ獩 overshampoo your hair because it will only cause your hair to become drier.

* Protecting the hair against exposure to the sun, to chlorine and to salt water. Protection comes, as mentioned above, from wearing hats or bandannas, using umbrellas to shield your hair from the sun when going out, using conditioners with sunscreen, and rinsing the hair immediately after swimming.

* Avoiding styling the hair excessively with hot curlers, hair dryers and hair irons. The same goes with too much perming, bleaching and coloring, which damages the hair.

* Keeping your body hydrated and properly nourished with a balanced diet. Whatever goes into your body also goes to your hair. The right amount of rest and exercise also goes to preventing dry hair.

* Summer comes and goes every year, but your hair is part of you. Beautiful hair, as they say, is a woman閳ユ獨 crowning glory. Take care of it well.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

yea if u have split ends it gets harder to brush i had the same thing and i cut off an inch from my hair

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

try to use hair conditioners ...

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

My sis has longgg hair too. She usually braids it the night before so it wont get as tangled. Try it.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Definatly keep it long and beautiful. You might want to trim off about an inch or two so that the dead ends dont get tangled anymore. Also there are really good products out now to help manage unmanagable hair. I have long thick curly hair and I use a heavy shampoo and a super heavy conditioner. Maybe try a conditioner that yoiu spay on and leave in!! Its good to just try different products untill you find one that helps you keep you locks smooth and tangle free.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

1 inch isnt going to make that big of difference, if its hard to manage you have to figure out why, do you have split ends? is your hair dry? how damaged is your hair? and are you using the right products for your hair type. I would say your best bet is to go to a salon where their clientel are of your age group, then ask your stylist what they think. I am a stylist myself, so thats the best advice i can give, good luck!!

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Don't overwash it, that'll make it so dry. Split ends should be trimmed off. You could also put a leave in conditioner in your hair after your showers, at night, and let it air dry. And then style it in the morning. Like, that's what I do, and in the morning I straighten it while it's wavy and dry.....but it turns out the best and I don't have to damn blow dry it, which I hate.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

If your hair is really damaged and dry, cutting one inch isnt going to help.

And you said you want to keep it 'long and beautiful', beautiful is not knotted and dry. Cut it off to shoulder lenth to make it look healthier.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

i would get it cut and try using a baby shampoo and conditioner. No more Tangles. It works great.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

moisturizer, use a decent amount. And try a de-tangling spray, it works i had the same problem except i cut mine, don't cut it trust me, you will regret it.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

you can get layers my hair was a night mare too.it well be easyer to brush.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

try putting your hair into two braids before you go to bed, it wont be messy in the morning.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

you could try putting on a silk scarf and wrapping your hair. if you need to find out what a wrap is talk to someone that is African -American

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

If you can't brush it and it has split ends, then why would you want to keep it "long and beautiful"? Cut off the damage. It will look allot better and be more manageable. Plus, hair DOES grow back, so you will get your length back.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

yes cut the ends and use a conditoner

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

i suggest that you first start with repairing your hair, and then if it still gets alot of knots, then think about cutting it. First off, you need to use a shampoo and conditioner that will add moisturizer to your hair. I also recommend a hot oil treatment, or deep conditioning. Both would be great to help with the dryness. Next I would recommend to keep up on the deep conditioning at least once a week. A quick way would be using your conditioner that you have bought from a professional salon for moisture and leave it on for at least ten minutes while you finish everything else during your shower and then rinsing. Also looking into a leave in conditioner will help with knots too. Once again use professional products...they are best for your hair.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

go to a salon

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

If you like the length of your hair, don't cut it. Instead, try brushing your hair really well before you go to bed.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

mines like that 2 i take the pain brushit

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

You should cut the split ends off but not to short. You should also braid your hair at night so it wont get all knotted.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

my suggestion would be to trim it. don't cut it really short (unless that's what you really want, because then just go for it) - go to a salon and ask them to trim off the split/dead ends. once they do that, try using shampoo and conditioner that are made for dry/damaged hair. also, if you dye your hair, try to do it as little as possible, because if you do it often it will damage your hair even more. hope this helps!

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Get a trim. Try a good leave in conditioner or elixir. Use a Silk or Satin Pillowcase.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Cutting you hair is not going to solve the problem, you are still going to get nots.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

http://www.splitender.com/1-888-410-6655...

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Keep your beautiful long hair. Before going to bed braid your hair

trust me its a lot easier to manage in the morning .don't do the braid too tight you might wake with a head ache. Hope this helped

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

I would definitely suggest shaving your hair off. It'll grow in much faster and healthier, and you'll look much prettier too, as it'll show off your faciel features that you hair hides. Trust me, my girlfriend had exactly the same problem and trusted me. Now she says that shaving her hair off is the greatest thing she's ever done.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

i would get your dead ends cut off your hair , change shampoos and stay away from the stuff you put in it that caused this problem in the first place. Your hair will be thanking you later and it will grow back and much more beautiful and healthier than ever. Stay away from alot of products with alcohol and pneumonia. I would also try a leave in conditioner, i know infusium products work really good and if you still cant help your hair, go see a beautician.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Have your hair some treatment. Hair spa or hot oil will do. Before you brush your hair, comb it first it wide-toothed comb, then brush it afterwards. Combing your hair with wide-toothed comb will make it easier.

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

Adopt YUL BRYNNER HAIRSTYLE. IT WILL SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

NOTES? YOU MUST BE GETTING DIRECT MESSAGES...NO WONDER YOU CANT COMB IT OUT...JUST KIDDING.....I ALWAYS PUT MINE IN A SCRUNGIE AND PILE IT ON TOP SO IT STAYS UNKNOTTED...TRY IT IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE LONG SILKY....

My hair is a night mare!! HELP!?

cut ur ends get ur hair healthy again aand it will grow back

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

I have a domestic short hair cat, about 3 years old, and I brush her about once a week to keep her fur shiny and clean. However, whenever I brush her, she starts to meow and hiss and acts like I am hurting her, even though I go over her hair gently with the Furminator brush. Is she just being fussy and overdramatic, or is it really hurting her? And if it is hurting her, what can I do to get rid of her loose hair?

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

YES - it's hurting her. I just looked up "Furminator Brush" on the internet - it looks hard, sharp, and terribly painful!!! And from the way your cat is reacting, then yes, it's really hurting her.

I brush my cats with a very soft-bristled brush like you would get for a human infant. It's a very gentle brush, and I bought it in a pet store. It's great at removing their hair, and since it's very gentle and soft, they like it.

I found a couple of pictures on the internet of what it looks like - click below to see. VERY gentle and soft.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

As long as your gentle, it should feel quite good to a cat. They like being stroked or rubbed...maybe your cat has a skin condition or some kind of parasites making her overly sensitive.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

no but only if u brush them really hard ok bye

-iluvbryant08

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Depends on the cat. I know that my cats love being brushed but only with certain brushes. I had to buy a few to find the one they liked best. As for getting rid of loose hair, I've seen a glove that you can buy to put on your hand to "brush" the cat's hair. It will feel like you're petting her instead of brushing and the hair, supposedly, comes out. Good luck.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

no, I don't think you are hurting her, she probably just hates it. Does the brush you are using have soft bristles? If not, try one with softer bristles. It will still get the loose hair, and she might like it better. I have a soft bristled one and my cats just love it, I could brush them for hours! Hope this helps =)

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Did you just get her? If she's not used to being brushed then she definitly will not enjoy it much. My kitties love being brushed and most cats I know do, but that is because they are used to being brushed every other day since they were a baby. I doubt it's hurting her, it's just scaring her. Just try and make her feel comfortable when you are going to brush her, she should be fine. I wish you the best of luck, and sorry I do not know any other way to get rid of loose hair!

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Sounds like she's spoiled! lol. I would assume brushing hair on a cat feels the same as a human. Some animals just don't like being brushed - she's eventually going to get used to it, I hope!

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

it isnt supposed to hurt cats...call a vet to see

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Get one of those brushing gloves. They are less scary than a regular brush and very gentle and do the job very well. It will feel more like a massage to her than anything. The glove goes over your hand like a mitten. Also, you have to remember that this is now shedding season. Hair is a fact of life. Be glad you dont have a long haired or you would really have problems.

Good luck. Let me know how it turns out.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

LOL!:-) she's just being a drama queen - I have a long hair kitty and I brush her once a week - she loves it! I think your cat just likes doing the grooming herself - some cats don't like being touched (or even petted) that much, so they'll either nip at your hand or make a fuss until you leave them alone.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Well cats usually enjoy being brushed, and you have to brush her because that will keep her from having hairballs. Well you could try a softer brush maybe its to hard and it is hurting her.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

I have a sweet orange tabby that is also short haired. He really enjoys the attention he gets when he is combed or brushed. I think the key here is to find he right comb or brush for him because every time you comb or brush her, it cuts down on the amount of fur she will later hack up! You may also want to think about taking your cat to the vet and make sure there is nothing else going on, like dermatitis or fleas, even if she is an indoor cat like mine. This time of year is the worst for fleas and I have spent all this weekend treating a bad flea infestation that I have no clue how he got. Enjoy your kitty! They can be so adorable!

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Most cats like it. I always use a cat comb. It gets all the excess fur.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

Maybe she's been zapped with static shock and dreds getting brushed. It helps keep the fur balls to a minimum, and they really do need to be brushed even if they are short-haired. I don't think you're hurting her.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

I dont think you're hurting her, maybe she just doesn't like the brush. Try using a comb with lotion on it and maybe she will feel more relaxed.

Does it hurt cats when you brush their fur?

You're not hurting her, some cats are just overdramatic. Trying introducing the brushing very gradually with lots of positive reinforcement.

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

My hair is oily so the moisturizing stuff probably won't work. However if you have used some moisturizing conditioner/shampoo and it you have oily hair but it didn't make your hair oily and you thought it was really good then tell me. However mainly I AM NOT looking for shampoo/conditioner it is ok to suggest but MAINLY what I want is like natural stuff, how to take a shower the right way for better hair, ways to brush, any tips of how you take care of your hair with things you could do without running to the store.

Oh and my hair info:

Blonde, couple inches past shoulder length, oily sometimes, thin, wavy

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

Dont use conditioner in the roots!

I have blonde thick hair but WAS oily till i heard that!

It's so simple amazing how it can have such a affect :)

Good Luck!

For the static thing heat the hair brush!

Microbes in the hair folicles are reacting with cold!

I was suprised when i found that out! :)

But it works!

Have a nice Christmas!

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

i know you don't want shampoo advice...but i gotta ask if you know the cheap stuff works great on oily hair because it has a high alcohol content which dries out the oils. biosilk is what i love to add for moisture after washing.

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

use dove intense damage shampoo and conditioner..it made my hair all of the above

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

wow. your hair is the EXACT same as mine. except mines brown. i hate having oily hair because the littlest things can make it look greasy. i just use shampoos/conditioners for thin or oily hair. they seem to work for me.... pert makes shampoo for oily hair. one trick i use is talcum powder, a sprinkle of this stuff on your hair eliminates the appearnce of grease. since your hair is oily, shampoo twice, your scalp only. the first time is to clean, the second time is to treat. then, apply conditioner to your ends only, it might make your scalp look greasy. (but do condition your scap once in a while for moisture) umm... i think thats it. hope this helps!

*shortnsweeet

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

Tips I use for my Blond oily hair:

* Wash hair thoroughly each day.

* Leave shampoo on for at least five minutes before rinsing, minimal or no conditioner on scalp.

* Don't brush hair too frequently or vigorously, as it can spread oil through the rest of the hair.

Also talk to your doctor about contributing factors to excess oil production, including stress and hormones found in birth control pills, which most people don;t think about.

This also helps...I do it when I have time:

*This recipe just might help you control the oil, not to mention the dandruff that usually accompanies it. Mix 2 - 3 tablespoons of Epsom salts with 1/2 cup of shampoo and store in a plastic container. Massage about a tablespoon of the mixture into your DRY hair. Add water and shampoo as usual. Be sure to rinse thoroughly.

I hate having oily hair!! Its such a pain, but another trick I use if i just don;t have time to wash and its a little oily I put some white baby powder in my hands and lightly put some on the hair around my scalp and rub in. That really helps a lot!!

How to get beautiful soft, silky, shiny hair without being oily?

To tell you the truth... the Shampoo you use has a big effect on how oily your hair is... Alternating your Shampoo can also create healthy and less oily hair. (quick fix)

There are ways to combat oily hair, but you might still have to wash your hair everyday鈥搕he amount of oil that your hair produces is actually hereditary, so you can鈥檛 do much about it! Start by washing with a clarifying shampoo every day. I like V05 Herbal Escapes Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo [drugstores]. Apply conditioner only from halfway down your hair to the ends (avoid the roots, where you don鈥檛 need any extra moisture). Once a week, try a scalp scrub to remove any buildup and dead skin that might be causing your roots to look oily. Try Bain de Terre Sugar %26amp; Fig Scalp Massage Scrub [go to baindeterre.com for salons]. If your hair starts to feel oily throughout the day, flip your head over and spritz a little finishing hairspray on your roots. The alcohol in the spray will absorb some of the oil, and it will give you volume so your hair won鈥檛 look limp!

Brush your hair from the front to the back, not from the side down... in demonstration take your brush and place it at your forehead and brush toward the back of your head... you can even put some mousse in it to help from frizzing.

For the static thing... I would say put in a wax or a shaping cream this will help or spray a small amount of extra hold hairspray in your hair.

Unless you have these products I would recommend taking one trip to the store...

Other tips....

1.Check the elastics you use to tie back your hair, if they are to tight it can cause breakage, and damage.

2.Shampoo twice, condition once but every other day.

3.blow dry your hair

4. Rinse your hair thoroughly

5. Don't use a lot of conditioner

6.Avoid greasy/oily foods ( a healthy diet)

7. stress also causes oily hair ( relax more often)

8. you can also open your shampoo bottle and put a teaspoon of baking soda in it... put the lid back on shake it and leave it over night.. and shake it again. everytime you shampoo shake the bottle.

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

i remove hair from vagina but it gets thicker. also i wax my arms n legs but hair becomes like brush!!help

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

If you continue waxing, it will eventually kill the hair follicles and the hair won't grow nearly as much, if at all (this is a good thing; you won't have to wax or shave anymore). It will take a few years, however. If you shave, the hair will come back faster and thicker.

You shouldn't remove vaginal hair; trim it if it gets too long and tangled. It will be easier to manage then.

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

Leave your hair alone, if you keep shaving/waxing it will grow, and also thicker.

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

their is no need to shave your vagina.... thats just disturbing and its a private place! your arms and legs should be left alone for some time... try to wax less often, otherwise call a beautician or skin care specialist for help! if you just cat live without waxing and shaving consider laser hair removal...

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

the imortance is the performance.

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

yup it just keep comming back so either you gotta keep up with it or get lazer hair removal

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

waxing or shaving DOES NOT make your hair thicker. it just seems like it when it first grows in.

once you start shaving or waxing, you should continue doing it, otherwise the hair will obviously start growing back. you can also go to a salon and ask the ladies there for advice.

Hair-vagina, arms n legs?

Nair the arms and legs! As far as the kooch, shave it with shaving cream. Through experience, it doesn't grow back as fast, but we're human and we'll always have hair. Just keep regular maintenance on those hairy parts.

Does anyone know how to keep your hair nice and thin?

Everytime i wash my hair. I blow dry, sometimes i would put anti-frizz, put my hair in sections and brush while i blow dry. It doesn't look that bad. But the next morning it's thin and kind of frizzy. I'm getting tired of it. Is there anything i can do different and or buy something for my hair.

Does anyone know how to keep your hair nice and thin?

Stop blow drying and use some creme product to add moisture- like sunsilk.

Does anyone know how to keep your hair nice and thin?

no x

Does anyone know how to keep your hair nice and thin?

STOP blow drying. thats what makes it looks frizzy the next day...its damaged.

Does anyone know how to keep your hair nice and thin?

try rebonding ur hair, (that is permanent straightening), its a little expensive but worth the money, u won't need to do anything else, jus wash and wear and it looks professionally styled each time.

u do need to go for touch up for the new growth, but that will be once in 7-8 months depending on ur hair growth.
