Does anyone really know how long does it take to get waves in your hair if you have a crew cut hair

I have a crew cut hair cut and I have been brushing my hair constally for 4 days now in woundering how long will it take to get waves.

Does anyone really know how long does it take to get waves in your hair if you have a crew cut hair cut?

hey! ....more informations available in the below mentioned website...i think it will help u...

Does anyone really know how long does it take to get waves in your hair if you have a crew cut hair cut?

You will need to wear a do rag with pomade in your hair when you sleep.. During the day just brush and brush.. It should take about a week or two...

What kind of Brush should I use?

My hair is about 7 - 9 inchs long, past my chin. I have naturally thin and dry hair.

I'm just curious as to what brush to use. I currently use a boar bristle brush, but I've heard its not meant for long hair. However, its the only brush I can use after a long time of being outside, and it not hurting my tangled hair.

For example. When I'm outside, and my hair gets blown around a lot, it gets..."stringy" and tangled. I can't brush it because it hurts way too much, and well..naturally I don't brush it cause well...common sense tells me Pain = bad, especially if it goes up to my scalp.

What should I use? I need something I can use 2 - 3 times a day, to get rid of the stringy/tangled look my hair gets after hours of being outside and moving around.

What kind of Brush should I use?

Mason Pearson brushes.

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

I have hair that is in between curly and wavy. I REALLY want to get sideswept bangs but I don't want to have to straighten my bangs everyday because it would damage my hair and I'm used to JUST brushing my hair, nothing else.

Is there anyone out there who has curly/wavy hair and sideswept bangs? If so, does it look okay when you don't straighten it?

Please answer, and thank you for reading!

PS. How long do I have to grow my bangs until they are ready to be cut into sideswept bangs?

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

I have thick curly hair and I had side-swept bangs a few years ago. I loved the look of when I would straighten the bangs and leave the rest down and curly. Straightening your bangs with curly hair in the back can be a great way to make your look more polished and put together overall. However, I rarely left my bangs curly because I didn't like how it looked because my bangs looked too frizzy and unkept. I'm not sure how yours would look though. Getting bangs is a pretty big change and you have to not be lazy about doing your hair. So if your intentions are to only brush your hair and not blow dry them often, I wouldn't really do it. Brushing such thin pieces of hair will probably make them frizzy and I wouldn't worry that blow drying bangs will severely damage your hair. They're only bangs after all, not all of your hair.

I grew my bangs out to about the top of my lips and had them cut slightly shorter than that. (If you do intend to leave them curly, I would not recommend making them very short at all.)

I hope that helps and hope your bangs come out beautiful!

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair and I had to chemically straighten mine when I had side-swept bangs. When the straightener grew out of it, they were very wavy and hard to control. Most of the time I ended up either tucking them behind my ear or wearing my hair in a ponytail until it grew out enough to even up again. Every ones hair is different though. Good luck on whatever decision you make!

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

First of all, I'd like to try something: don't brush your hair, and then scrunch it-see if it gets really curly.

Next, I have some curly hair with some bangs in the front, and sometimes they look good, and sometimes I'm frustrated. Make sure they're long enough that you can pin them back if they're in the way, or tuck them behind your ears. Also, if you're doing it yourself, cut only a little at a time - you can easily cut more off if they're too long, but you can't magically add length!

And I agree that straight bangs and curly hair is really cute!

Here's some pictures of side swept bangs:

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

I have sideswept bangs and my hair is really curly. You know, when you just leave it curly, just put your bangs back with the rest of your hair. It totally blends in and you can't tell. when I straighten it, it actually looks similar to my avatar. I have a side part and everyone loves it. you should do it. You won't want it any other way. I promise when it's curly it blends in. =)

Edit: Oh my, my. I see someone said to straighten your hair when the rest is curly. Don't do that. That looks so awful. Just let your bangs be curly like they normally are. Your hair will look the same curly as it does now.

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

get long layered cut for your bangs so it can be versatile for styling. you don't have to straighten it everyday. leave it naturally curly but apply some hair product like mousse or hairspray. also, you can always use some pretty hairpins for different look.

Is getting sideswept bangs a bad idea if you have wavy/curly hair?

not if you intend on straightning it. Most people with wavy hair that I know, just straighten their bang and it looks fine.

Germs in Hair?

Can germs and virsus live in your hair, like from brushing up against walls with blood on them, etc.? How can you wash hair so that it kills all the bacteria? Can HIV live in hair?

Germs in Hair?

You can catch hepatitis that way, but HIV is a very weak virus and it dies once it hits the air.

Wash your hair and massage your scalp. A lot of people don't wash their scalp...eww..

Germs in Hair?

Germs can and do live in your hair. You're hair is actually one of the dirtiest parts of your body, however HIV can not survive outside of the blood system

Germs in Hair?

Thats a very good question. I wouldn't think it could live and thrive in your hair.

Germs in Hair?

Germs can live happily in your hair... your hair brush is a colony of germs... germs are everywhere. The best thing you can do is to wash your hands regularly.

Germs in Hair?

yes germs and virsus can live in ur hair. Slong as u wash it u should have no prob. The only way u can get hiv from the head is if u have a cut. Hiv is a deaise that is past by blood. So if u have a open wound yes u can get the virsus.

Germs in Hair?

Regarding HIV in blood on a toilet seat, if the blood is dry, the virus will be dead. If it is wet, a chance exists that it could still be active. The risk is very small, but rather be safe. HIV is very short lived on an inanimate surface. In wet fluid, consider infectious. Having said that, the chances of you getting HIV from blood that gets on your hair and does not get on a cut or a mucous membraine are slim to none. Washing your hair daily with soap, being sure to scrub the hair and scalp, and rinsing it well should remove most germs.

Germs in Hair?

You have germs all over the inside and out side of you. There are an average of 10X as many bacteria as you have body cells. You could not live without them. Only 1% of these germs are disease causing and they are usually kept under control by the good germs. If you wipe out the good bacteria in your digestive system, you'll have problems until the good bacteria are back. This is what happens when you take penicillin which wipes out the good and bad " bugs ".

Is it true about color-treated hair conditioner?

I've been having hair problems lately. After I brush it, two minutes later my hair will be really messy. My friend told me to use color-treated hair conditioner because it makes your hair softer, even if your hair isn't dyed or anything. Is this true? Does it depend? I would like to try but I don't know if it's a bunch of bull.

If not, any tips on having my hair be a little more controllable?

Is it true about color-treated hair conditioner?

Any kind of smoothing product will work. If you blowdry yur hair use alittle before and after. Redken All soft shampoo and conditioner really works good. But using something else like a smoothing product will do the trick. Any kind of shine product helps also. Bed Head After Party works very well.

Is it true about color-treated hair conditioner?

I believe that conditioners for color treated hair are more gentle but that's about it. They contain usually the same ingredients. You didn't mention if you DID have color treated hair? How about trying some hairspray...windy days are not fought with only a brush! :)

Basic Tips for good hair care?

If your hair get tangled that easily it means that your strands are dried up and that you probably have split ends. You should trim them and start letting go of your blow dryer and daily shampoo habit because it deprives your hair of its natural oil and water. Plus it's veary unhealthy, check the link below to learn more about it.

At least make masks, 1 hour at least before shampoing, with shea butter (I mean real natural shea butter) or jojoba oil. It will lock moisture in when shampoing and you will avoid the bigger damage. Avoid styling products with silicones because it creates a waterproof layer on the hair which literally chokes the hair and prevents it from retaining atmospheric moisture. Instead, try rubbing a very small amount of shea butter or jojoba on the lengths and ends, it will both nourish and kinda hold your hair like a grooming cream wood.

For a bit more hold, rince your hair with a special vinegar rinse (3 tbsp of cider vinegar and 3 tbsp of beer for half a quart of water). It will also give shine and help detangling your hair.

How do I stop my hair from tangling so much?

I am a really lazy person and I don't want to brush my hair as much as I have to. I have really long dyed hair and the right half gets tangled so much. The left half is just dyed black but the right half has been bleached multiple times. I've been told since it was so heavily treated it will tangle faster. I also straighten it every so often. And my question is how do I stop it from tangling so much (especially when I sleep). Thanks so much!

How do I stop my hair from tangling so much?

Brush your hair before you shampoo and just shampoo your scalp. Don't put it on top of your head and ruff it up. Braid it before you go to bed. Should help.

After you get out of the shower put some detangler in it.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

ok im young .. 17 yrs old ! %26amp; my hair is falling out alot!! i mean im not goin bald or anything but its like every time i get out of the shower or even if im just brushing my hair i can pull out like ALOT of hair strands .. maybe like 3 or 4.. its scaring the crap out of me!my dad told me it was cuz i put highlights on..but it was only ONE time and it was the one u buy from HEB... so yea im a lil worried over here...... any suggestions??

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

That's okay. It's normal. At least once a year a woman looses a good amount of hair. It's just a process of your hair growing. This is actually healthy, so don't worry. It's common that you loose it after showering or brushing your hair. Don't worry...you're fine. =]

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

im 13 and it happens to me all the time, my mom told me those are old strands of hair and that new ones will grow when they're ready

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

It may be because you arn't getting enough nutrients in your diet. It could also be that you are really strssing. It is normal to lose up to 50 hairs a day since it is always growing

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

You probably brush your head to hard and use harsher products. Since it was your first highlighting experience you were probably allergic to some of the chemicals. Go to a doctor and get him to check it out for you.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

Oh no honey...3 or 4 strands of hair is nothing. it's natural for some of your hair to fall out. From all the protein anyway. It's nothing to worry about, unless you get like 50 at a time. Then you could have a problem, probably from stress or the weather.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

3 or 4? Don't sweat it. It is perfectly normal.

I have a better question:

Why is it that every time by hair falls out it is the black ones and never the white ones?

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

My hair isn't falling out. But maybe your using to much hair product, or you have colored it one to many times. Get yourself a good shampoo and conditioner, and lay off the products, and monthly visits to the salon.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

if you look close, you'll notice that very few of the hairs have roots on them. your hair isn't falling out, it's breaking.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

it's NORMAL to lose your hair, so you can stop worrying. You can lose between 30 %26amp; 100 hairs a day. Depending on how long ago you got the highlights they could also be contributing to your hair loss. Sometimes a chemical service can cause the hair to fall out a bit more than it would normally, this is still ok %26amp; completely normal. If you start losing hair in clumps or notice it's looking thinner then you should start to worry %26amp; see a doctor, but if it's only a little bit after you wash or brush your hair it's fine.

If you need any more help you can check out my forum:

http://mysticbeauty0.proboards74.com/ind...

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

On average you loose 70 to 100 hairs a day so loosing a few when you shower is not unusual. The hi lites probably are not causing the hair to fall out unless its really damaged. I would not worry about it. For every one that falls out another is growing in its place. It grows in cycles. : )

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

Don閳ユ獩 freak out.. It閳ユ獨 really no biggie. Everybody losses several strands of hair everyday. If you are really worried about it then watch ur diet and don閳ユ獩 do anymore chemical things to it either.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

Yes, that happens to me sometimes too, especially when I was in Jr high and starting out in high school. I'm not sure exactly what the cause is, but I am sure that you're not going bald, and it's normal. There's one thing I did notice when it happened to me though. If I put my hand around my hair and gently pull as I slide it off, 2-5 strands of hair will come off! So I wondered, what happens to them when I don't do that? Ever see other girls hairs in the floor of the locker room or sinks or the shower? Ever see a long strand of hair clinging to somebody's shirt? We all lose about that much hair every day, and probably a lot more too. It's normal. We have so many strands that we don't notice, and we grow new ones at the same pace we loose them, so... you really shouldn't worry.

But, if your problem becomes increasingly worse and you're losing around 15 or more hairs at a time, you might want to see a doctor right away. I hope I helped.

p.s. I've never highlighted or dyed my hair in my life so that's not why, and Im 17 too.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

This could also happen, from washing your hair too much.

Why does ur hair fall out so much??

Hair goes through cycles too I think. Sometimes we lose more hair than other times. As long as you have no balding spots don't worry! I lose lots of hair too and sometimes wonder, but I still have lots left. Highlighting your hair likely has nothing to do with losing a few strands...and if you are only losing 3 or 4 that is nothing to worry about. The average person sheds around 100 hairs per day...and the average person has about 100,000 of them.

There are so many reasons why this may be happening...Think about these questions....1)Are you over processing your hair? 2) Do you wear styles that cause a great deal of friction? 3)Do you have any deficiencies in your diet? 4)Are you under a great deal of stress? 5)How old are you, could it be hereditary? 6)Do you have any medical problems for which you are taking medicine?

I'm a hairstylist, so please listen to me. First, do not use rogain without consulting a doctor. Once you start rogain and suddenly stop, you could lose more hair than before. It could be anything that it causing the hair loss, such as, stress, hormones, and it could be a medical problem. Thyroid imbalances can cause your hair to change completely. If you are that worried about it I would consult your dr. It could be a number of things that is causing it and you need to do the right thing because it could be a symptom of a minor medical condition that needs to be addressed such as hormonal changes, a thyroid condition or a dietary deficiency. Also if you are under any kind of stress that could do it too.

2. By WEdnesday-Friday my hair gets greasy.. but if I wash it.. it's uncontrolablly frizzy?

3.I'm gettigng a product from Wal Mart called Crazy Sleek?

http://www.got2b.com/got2b-main.htm?got2...

^^ It's the like triangluar one.

Will this make my problems go away so I can shower every day??

Please answer as many questions as you cann!

Thanks in advance!! %26lt;33

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

straightening your hair 5 days in a row is doing it no good at all, you could put on the best heat barrier on your hair and it will still dry out with the straightners, if i havent washed my hair for a few days, i gets loads of hair on my brush, its because alot of you hair gets washed down the drain shedding 10 - 30 hairs per day is normal, excess dying can cause hair to break and fall out. the sleek cream your talking about should help things, try and avoid getting any on your scalp as this wont help the greasiness, i had a friend who had the most beautiful natural ringletted hair and she could only wash it once a week, she used to wash her hair then put in wads of conditioner, but she woud only rinse out the conditioner a little bit otherwise it would go uncontrollably frizzy, if you use the straightners all week please use a hair masque at least once a week, your hair needs pampered just as much as the rest of you, and hair oil treatments can be beneficial, try different things including giving your hair a rest from the hot irons, (2 days isnt long enough) you will notice a difference

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

your killing your hair thts y!

you need to wash it every other day and condition every day.

thts what i do,

it keeps hair healthy nd manageable

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

You definatly should shower more then twice a week. I've dont know about the product but you should shower at least everyother day.

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

i think you are overstyling your hair. you shouldnt have to flat iron it or straighten it every single day. its breaking off from too much heat and product. why dont you straighten it twice a week only. let your hair get healthy again and use hot oil treatments.

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

i used to straighten my hair every day...it made it really dry and frizzy and my hair like always fell out. so then i put this spray stuff on it and it made my hair feel more oily. so now i just try to be happier with my natural hair lol. i straighten it occasionally, but definitely not as often and it seems a lot shinier and healthier.

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

I KNOW THEY SAY YOU SHOULDNT WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY... BUT I RECOMMEND IT, WELL MORE THEN TWICE A WEEK... AND ONLY GETTING TWO SHOWERS A WEEK IS KINDA GROSS!

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

seriously, wash your hair more often. why do people shower only once a week?

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

maybe cuz you only showe twice a week......EWWW

I only wash my hair on the weekends. and..?

You defintley need to shower more then once a week. Your hair will not look nicer it would be greasier and you'll have more difficult problems閳?I would go to a local hair salon, They will fix your hair and they would tell you which products to use, and which products not to use.

Good Luck!

Whats happening to my damn hair?!?

Whats happening to my damn hair?!?

Make sure you're eating properly. Nutritional deficiencies could be to blame, but i'd see a doctor to be sure.

Whats happening to my damn hair?!?

Since hair falls out at an average of 150 strands a day (somedays more-somedays less) and your hair being as long as it is, is more visable in brushes, shower drains, sweaters, etc. When your hair is short, the average hair fall-out is still the same, but, because the hair is short, it's less visable.

Which is most annoying, someone blowing nose in restaurant or brushing their hair in a restaurant?

ooh I don't know. They both bother me. I guess blowing their nose. It makes me want to not eat anymore. If they're brusing their hair that's nasty too but at least they aren't doing it where their hair will get in my food, and I don't have to hear them do it.

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizz

And i have no idea how! I Have a normal hair brush + a wide toothed comb.

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

weeell its a two step process . first seperate ur hair into sections, put watever product u use to protect from heat damage and frizziness. then u take one of those round brushes with soft bristles ( a medium to big sized one) and u blow dry the section( u blowdry each section one by one) and after u finsh blowdrying that one section , u might wanna add a little bit more of the product and flat iron the section of hair , and then comb it out to make sure its not tangled, just do that over and over to each section and u should have straight hair

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

i'm worser but anyway u should blow dry then flat iron it

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

well if you have naturally curly hair, then it's best to use a straightener. Blowdrying it only works if your hair isnt' naturally curly.

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

Let hair dry completely naturally, and then flat iron it.

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

use a straightner

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

You can try to blwdry your hair straight but it will get frizzy!!! the best bet is to use a straightener!!!!!! and use some kind of hair balm with it though so it will stay put.......... dont plan on straightening if its humid though. i wish my hair was curly though

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

I have curly hair too, and I blow dried it out straight this morning. Unfortunately, curly hair usually finds a way to revive its frizziness (with humidity and such), but there are excellent products out there. If you have hair clips, separate the majority of your hair from a small portion near the base of your neck (a bottom layer) and clip the rest up. I divide the hair into 2 sections- one on the left and one on the right- and use a round brush and sweep down each section with the dryer almost touching the hair. Repeat this method of dividing hair into layers and sections (drying the top layer last). When you're done use a glazing hair product like Fekkai color protecting glaze to calm and shine hair( I got mine @ Sephora for $20 ). This should keep it soft and frizz-free. I hope this was helpful.

How do you blowdry hair straight? I have natural curly hair and I'm afraid it'll get frizzy if I blowdry it

First of all, blowdrying can cause heat damage very VERY easily. Always use a product that will protect it from the heat. That will help a bit. Use a round brush. Take a section and then use the brush to pull the section (GENTLY!) while blowdrying the section. You may have to comb the section out a bit beforehand depending on how curly your hair is. Use an ionic dryer with a concentrator attachment that narrows the heatstream to the section you are working with, that will eliminate the frizz. Blowdry straight down, pulling the section with a round brush. Unless you want to take a chance on further damaging your hair, I would not suggest flat ironing it often or at all. If it is poofy, use hair grease or some similar product (non-water based or your hair will revert) and brush it through. Please consider the health of your hair when doing any style to it. In general, the less you do to it, the better.

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

lately ive notcied every time i blowdry/brush/straighten/etc my hair, clumps fall out at a time.

at first i shrugged it off, but now i am really concered.

i dye my hair ALOT (at home) but have stopped hoping it would help, and i have lost a bit of weight (not in the most healthy manor, but i don't want to get into that)

is there anything i can do for this to stop? pills/vitamins i can take?

ANYTHING !

i am very worried.

thanks for any help :)

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

malnutrition - you are starving your body and its its not getting enough nutrients - protein, healthy fats, carbs.

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

Not eating healthy will cause it.

Also stress will cause it, too.

It is normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day.

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

dont dye your hair anymore and switch your shampoo if you use head n shoulders or pantene then that could be why. switch... it should help!!

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

if youre bathing with hot water then stop. hot water causes hair to fall. Warm water is fine. And you mentioned of dyeing your hair alot, the aftermath effects are now showing. Also try changing your shampoo %26amp; conditioner, might also be falling because of that.

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

Take a multivitamin with zinc and selenium in it and be careful about how much traction you put on your hair when you are brushing and styling your hair. If it continues get someone to check your thyroid function as if it is underactive you can have hair loss.

Hair falling out, very concerned, please help?

You are right to be concerned, because this is not normal. Hair loss can be caused by stress, disease or vitamin deficiency.

When the underlying cause is corrected, the hair often grows back, so it would be a good idea to go to the doctor, who can hopefully figure out what's going on and treat it.

Good luck!

How do people get their hair like this?

i always see people like kind of brushing their hair back and then it goes back to normal- how do they get it like this?

How do people get their hair like this?

Bottom line is a good cut. Also, quality products and healthy hair. But without a really well done hair cut to start with, you dont have a chance of it falling back in place and looking good. Ask your stylist...

How do people get their hair like this?

A pic would help here first off. But us with straight hair in the world, just have it fall down, no matter what we do.

How do people get their hair like this?

I agree with above, its the cut. Go to someone who is very experienced with hair and get a really good cut. I go to someone who is Sassoon trained and he's incredible, he can do anything with hair.

How do people get their hair like this?

I know exactly what you're talking about. Like Alicia Silverstone's hair, right? Unfortunately it depends on your hair type. Shampoos, styling products, and the cut can help, but the reason it falls back down so well is because it's super fine (fine as in the thickness and quality of the hair, not as in fine=sexy). My hair is extremely fine and it does this...but that's about all it does. If your hair is fine, you can pull it off, but really only if it's super clean and has no products in it (except maybe a leave in conditioner).

Volumed hair in the morning .?

-after i take a shower i blowdry it with the heat with my hair upside down [with a roundbrush] then i flip it over brushign all my bangs down %26amp; using the round brush lift my hair up towards the sky %26amp; direct the heat towards the roots . it get all nice and poofy . i usually straighten my hair right after i finish blowdrying because its a hassle to do it in the morning . problem is ; in the morning when i wake up its poofy but after i straighten it its get a little bit flat . -what should i do to maintain its volume %26amp; keep it straight because rain is coming pretty soon . what products can i apply or spray to my hair [i like garnier fructis] to give it volume %26amp; hold it in place . something i can use when my hairs dry . thanks a million .

Volumed hair in the morning .?

hairspray your roots. life a section of your top layer up -- and spray near your roots. that's what i do %26amp; i have amazing volume all day long.

...or you could always tease it a little ;)

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

I do this every time I get out of the shower....

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

brushing wet hair causes tangles and pulls out more hair than normal and also cause breakage..

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

Your hair is weaker when it's wet. It will break off easier.

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

if you use a really wide tooth comb and brush hair moisturiser through when its wet its fine to do.

If it's with a small tooth comb it will rip your hair and cause damage.

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

it causes split ends

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

You hair is weak and brittle when it is wet. It is best to comb your hair starting from your roots and work your way down to your ends.

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

It gives you split ends. Don't do it unless it's a brush that doesn't have boar or other animal bristles or fake animal bristles, just the ones that have plastic and are far apart like this one- http://goody.com/Html/FabTeens/Flash/Sty... (the paddle brush).

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

No..NO....NO!!! Never brush or come your hair when it is wet because you hair is very fraigle when wet. If your hair is already damaged, brushing while wet will only make it worse.

Why is it bad to brush wet hair??

I once read somewhere, that brushing your hair when you get out of the shower, causes your hair to tangle and break off.

You should comb your hair not brush it.

Guy hair highlight - pics corrected?

i have never highlighted my hair or anything before and i kinda want to just to do something different. I want to get some blonde highlights, but not too much. Here is a picture of my hair, it a little brushed to the side in this pic:

24 years old and hair is thinning?

I know the best choice is probably for me to go to a doctor (OBGYN, dermatologist, or..?) but until I can afford that-- why am I losing so much hair to the brush everyday, to the point that when it's wet its very noticeable? It's not too bad dry, yet; there're no bald patches and new hair seems to be growing in, but still.. why? Is it true prolonged weight loss can do it? Because in the last year I dropped 73lbs and am trying to lose 17 more. I used to have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), but since I lost the weight all symptoms of it have completely disappeared except the thinning hair. Is it related to that though? If it helps: My hair is hip-length and I'm a 24-year-old brunette female with hispanic and caucasian ancestry, who uses store-brand shampoos once every day and jogs 2 hours a day, 4 - 5 days a week. When I jog my first hour I don't get a shower in until after the second jog that night, and I also sometimes go to bed with my hair wet. Is all that killing it?

24 years old and hair is thinning?

It sounds like the effects of PCOS. I would go to the doctor to make sure that your thyroid is in order.

24 years old and hair is thinning?

ya might go to a salon and see what kind of products they have for that....possibly even Rogaine

Why am I loosing my frontal hair?

I'm really scared about my hair. I'm a 23 yr old Multiracial male and I'm loosing some hair on the front part of my head. But when I comb my hair down or brush it down it looks normal and doesn't look like I'm missing any hair. But sometimes my hair will rise back up again and make it look like I'm missing some hair again. This scares me alot because it makes me feel like I'm getting old or something and I'm very young! Is this a natural thing or do I need to do something about this problem? Is there any advice anyone give me to grow my frontal hair better? Please help me cause sometimes I get too nervous and a tiny bit teary eyed because of this. I'm willing to do anything to fix this problem, thanx.

Why am I loosing my frontal hair?

That's a totally natural thing hon. MANY men have receding hairlines, some start as early as 18. I can tell you that out of all the men I've dated, all but one had a receding hairline...and they're all under 28. You can go ahead and start using Rogaine. It'll help as long as you use it, but when you stop the hair will come out.

Why am I loosing my frontal hair?

Okay, buddy. Vitamin B8 or Inositol is responsible for hair retention. Its just a B vitamin you can buy in the grocery store or health food store. Lots of guys have hairline problems.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

My hair is very thin and damaged. I have lots of split ends and my hair breaks everytime I brush. I've tried many store bought treatments, but nothing seems to help. I've been to the salons and got treatment there... but once again... it doesn't help. Does anyone know a good 'potion' that I can make at home to help treat this problem?

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

Pure virgin unrefined coconut oil. I use nutiva brand. I do oil treatments as well as applying while my hair is damp after shampooing. Works great for me.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

what really helps my hair is leaving on conditioner for like 15 minutes and then finally rinsing it off. it really revives my hair.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

Water and 2 comb use handes!

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

A good trim first then eats lots of Omega 3....

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

To treat your split ends use conditioner every night/morning and cut your air often. And to prevent weak hair dont blow dry because it ruins your hair

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

This sounds simple but it works. Buy a jar of organic coconut oil. Before each shampoo, massage a small amount into your scalp, down to your ends. Cover with a shower cap or cellophane. Leave it on for 30 minutes (...which gives you time to read a good gossip magazine *-*), then shampoo and condition. This works for me. After a while, you can do this once a month or so, as needed. Here's to beautiful hair!!

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

egg yolks or avocado paste

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

Botanicals and Herbs

Fenugreek (herb)

Castor Oil

Monoi De Tahiti Oil

Tamanu Oil (VERY EXPENSIVE!)

Camellia Oil

Burduck (herb)

Saw Palmetto (herb)

Jojoba Oil

Emu Oil

Lavender and Rosemary Essential Oils

Best of Luck to You!!

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

what Tyra Banks does is she gets the conditioner that says the most problems like damaged......... or if you have split ends you can put petroleum jelly on the ends, you can also not wash your hair for maybe 4 days so your hair will have alot of greese.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

egg whites work great on hair. use about once a week. Makes it shine and makes it stronger. About every 4 weeks get a trim, about 1/4 to 1/2. that will control the dead ends. use a hot oil treatment once a month. try not to blow dry your hair, if you do use low heat. good luck

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

I was actually told to use olive oil on my hair one time...had gotten a perm and it dried my hair our really bad and my hair just looked terrible...it was litterally fried...anyway...was told to put some olive oil in my hair...put a showercap on for about 15 minutes (just helps to keep the oil "trapped" on your hair) and then take the showercap off and wash your hair really good...if you blowdry your hair, don't dry it completely...use the dryer...but leave it so that it is ALMOST dry...good luck...

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

For brittle damaged hair, do not use a hairbrush. Always use a comb.

Condition, condition, condition.

Put a hair product, leave on conditioner plus spritz/mousse for daily use.

Eat a good diet as healthy hair starts from within. No matter what you put externally, the hair still grows from within your body and reflects your general health.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

When you brush your hair, you should be stroking at the bottom of the hair and moving up and the bottom untangles, this way you wont be pulling out so Mitch hair with your brush. As for the split ends, you should be getting your hair trimmed at least once every three months to keep the split ends off. As for the hair breaking, have you been getting the right vitamins? Hair breakage is often caused because of not getting the right nutrients.Visit this site to make sure you have been eating right. http://mypyramid.gov/

If you are eating right, it could be that you are damaging it with a straiten er or curler. If you curl your hair or straiten it often you should get spacial gel or spray that you put on your hair before you begin.

Meanwhile, there are ways to make your hair look less damaged. Avoid washing your hair every day (unless your scalp is oily); when you do wash it, use a conditioner that contains proteins inhomogeneity's. (If your scalp is oily, keep conditioners away from the roots.) When you dry your hair, gently squeeze out moisture with a towel -- never rub. A drop (just a little!) silicone's also can help smooth down the cuticle and add a bit of shine.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

This is something my generation{40 yr.olds} did alot. We used mayonaise in our hair. You would lather it on{let it reach room temp 1st} then wrap your hair in a towel for 30 mins.Afterwords you would wash you hair thoroughly. It really does work.

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

All the answers are fine. I'm around 40 and I just donate my hair because is tick and I have a lot, and I use a lot of grandma's homemade treatments. Somebody say mayo, fine. You just need to beat the egg + 2 oil spoons +1 vinegar spoons (really helps) and some drops of lime (extra shinny).

If you use this or olive oil (better if is warm) or mineral or another kind of oil, remember to put first the shampoo and then wash your hair with warm water (otherwise you will never get rid of the oil, and this is experience!).

Do not use avocado paste (ripest = better) if you do not have black hair.

whatever you use, cover it with plastic (hair needs heat!) and wait al least 15 minutes.

Split ends? cut them. Take it easy with the blower and iron and after year of fighting my curly hair, I just learned to love it and I discovered (I never took advices!) that I born like this and that's the hair that suits me better (personality and physical!).

Finally, just be constant and if you use homemade recipes do not worry , you can use them weekly!

What kind of homemade treatment can I use to treat my damaged hair?

Not a homemade tip, but I never rinse the conditioner competely from my hair. I wash and then apply conditioner inch away from the scalp. Put up in a clip and continue showering an shaving. Before i get out rinse out from from top (make sure to get the conditioner on the sides and bottom of scalp then wring the water and conditioner. I never towel dry. I use the blow dryer only in the winter to dry the hair by the scalp My hair now looks great (shiny and still light) even with out serum

Does anyone have that new conair infiniti hair designer tourmaline Ionic dryer?

I was wondering if this dryer really straightens the hair while it dries it at the same time. Trying to give my flat iron a rest and I hate using a brush and a hair dryer at the same time. This dryer is new I guess and is selling for $59.99. It's reddish/purple in color with some special attachment that grabs and pulls the hair straight while drying. Please let me know if this works! I want to buy one.

Does anyone have that new conair infiniti hair designer tourmaline Ionic dryer?

no I don't have that one, but I have the "maxi glide" and it's wonderfull, your hair dosen't need to be completely dry. Cuz it uses steem, I luv it you can flip with it curl your hair. since it uses steem it dose not damage your hair as much.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

I'm 24. I have hair loss overall, not in specific spots but its more noticable in the front. I don't take meds. The doctors will not check it out, they tell me its normal. My blood levels are normal, thyroids checks out fine.

I have been eating smaller portions and I have a vegan diet, but I'm careful to take supplements and eat varied foods...yet my hair is still falling out by clumps. I have experienced fatigue in the last two months, but I've been feeling healthier again.

And lastly, this has been ongoing for a few years. It grows, then it stops and gets thin, then grows again and so forth. Its just becoming more noticable now. I'm afraid to even brush my hair.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

My dear friend, bald is beautiful, GOD Bless you.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

It could be genetic. Did your Mom and/or Grandmas lose hair?

Go to a really good beautician (ask for credetials). Be honest . Tell her/him about diet, drug use (including alcohol), stressors, shampoos, etc.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

Look into your vegan diet...you maybe missing some nutrients that you need. Are you eating enough protein and vitamins? Also if you are not eating enough you could be malnourished. Hair loss is a symptom of eating disorders.

You should talk to other vegans and see what they say.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

Have you had your thyroid checked? Get a TSH blood test from your doc to check this. It is the most common cause of hair loss in a young woman that I know of.

What might be possible reasons for hair loss?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Curly Hair Routines!?

I have curly hair and I'm curious to see what you guys do to your hair while and after you shower.

What products?

When do you use them?

Brush or comb your hair?

etc.

Pictures would help too.

Just curious!

Curly Hair Routines!?

I have reaaaaal curly mixed girl hair, what I do is after getting out the shower I LIGHTLY towel dry my hair, basiclly just flip my hair down while bending over, put the towel over my hair and give a light squeeze, JUST A LIGHT ONE! Lol, 'cause if you do too much you get frizz. Then I use my redkin anti-snap, put on some tigi curl booster, and some curl life spray gel. After that I comb through my hair, while wet, and then turn on my blow dryer. Make sure your dryer has a diffuser, or you'll just end up with a MESS! I flip my head over, turn the dryer on low setting, warm and do that for about a half hour to twenty minutes, waiting for it to be almost dry but not quite, then turn on the cool setting to set the curl and prevent frizz. After all that, flip back up and spray on some beyond shine by aquage and im ready to go! :]

Btw, only comb your hair wet. If you must do it dry, use a pick or the end of a comb. I also never brush my hair, never, unless im going to straighten it and then I wait till its fully dry, and by doing that I just skip all the product, except the anti snap, bend over, and blow dry on warm for a half hour, brushing along the way ONLY when it gets dry. Then spray on some beyond shine, working spray (both by aquage) and then some chi straightening protectant and straighten away! :]

So, that's my routine. Lol, curly and straight.

Curly Hair Routines!?

After shampooing, I use leave-in conditioner (I like Tresseme). Then I use V05 curling mousse so my curls stay smooth and not frizzy, and lightly blow dry, but stop before it's actually dry. After the curls are dry, I don't comb (do that before adding product), but I do lightly brush.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

yes, because it distributes the oils in you hair which makes it soft. but don't brush it too much of it will give you split ends.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

It sure is good, but with a good and clean hair brush (100 times every night is overrated though)

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

Yes but brush your scalp lightly.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

yes...brushing takes the oils from the top of your head to the ends of your hair.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

actually no especially when wet you do not want to be brushing it too much and don't brush when wet

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

it can be but not ALL the time!

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

Absolutely it keeps it healthy.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

Yes. It keeps it looking and feeling healthy. When you have wet hair, do not brush it with a brush. Instead use a wide toothed comb. If you brush your hair too often, then you will create split ends. -Rayna

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

it is very good for your hair but you shouldn't do it after you wash it. it loosens up the dirt in your hair and gets the tangles out and junk

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

yes and no.

1.brushing too much can cause your hair to fall out and it also creates split ends.

2. NEVER brush wet hair, comb it. Brushing wet hair can cause split ends.

3. if your hair is really tangly, use conditioner or spray on conditioner

4. Brushing it 2 times a day will distribute oils evenly.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

No..but choosing the right brush is important.

Is brushing your hair good for you hair?

in lots of ways yes

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

whats a hair product that helps prevent losing hair when showering and brushing? a lot of my hair strands come out in the shower and i dont know what to do to stop this. help please!

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

i have the same problem, but a few days ago i went back to garnier fructis lengthing %26amp; strengithing [green bottle, blue label] and ive noticed the diffrence, it doesnt fall out as easy.

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

well it really depends on how many you are losing at a time...I used to lose more than I do now and the I started use trese ma and I am now only losing the maximum of 2 starnds of hair per brushing and showering...all that you have to remember is that no matter what you WILL lose about 100 stands of hair a day just like everybody else!!

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

i dont know about products, but if you wear your hair too tight in a ponytail that will cause it to fall out

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

I had the same prob. I started using the Garnier Fructis Shampoo that the girl above is talking about and it makes a big difference.

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

i used to have that problem...try using shampoos that strengthen hair...also if u use a lot of other hair products such as gel, and other chemicals try cutting back on some of them....that worked for me...good luck:)

Whats a hair product that helps prevent this...?

Nioxn is helped for that problem

What is a cute, manageable, short haircut for brunette [girls] with wavy hair? Help!!!?

I'm a tween with dark brown, wavy hair that's a little hard to manage. I have medium-length hair, but I want a change. I want cute, short hair (preferrably with bangs). Most of these haircuts require staright hair, so please help me find one! If you can't, at least give me a celebrity I can imitate? Also, I'm the type who doesn't really have time (and the effort) to fix my hair. I just brush it and I'm ready to go! Thanks!!!

What is a cute, manageable, short haircut for brunette [girls] with wavy hair? Help!!!?

l have wavy hair and do the same, brush them and leave ;o) l had a very nice short haircut and l ll try to describe it to you:

longer in front and shorter in the back that it's going shorter and shorter with a very short fringe! ask from your hairdresser to thin down the rest of your hair so they don't look like you are lion king or something! it's a very convenient haircut, try it :o)

What is a cute, manageable, short haircut for brunette [girls] with wavy hair? Help!!!?

I never know what people mean by short, I have short pixie hair, but most people mean sort of bobbed hair around about chin level. I've also got wavy hair, but found that short hair works really well, I just dry it with my fingers and a fast setting on my dryer and it straightens out fine with a little product in it. I looked up pictures of short hair on google images, you could try that.

Will My Hair Grow Back??

I have been rough on my hair in the last year, over brushing and not really giving a damn about combing through tangles, and alot of my hair has fallen out. Will it ever grow back? I used to have thick to medium hair and now its just thinner. Any advice or suggestions??

Will My Hair Grow Back??

yes your hair will grow back, just give it time

Will My Hair Grow Back??

your hair will grow back when you wash your hair and its wet dont brush it or anything

I have long very curly hair.....?

and I want to get it cut kind of short. I have had my hair long and curly forever and I can only do one easy hairstyle with it, plus it takes me so long in the shower cause I brush my hair with the conditioner in it. What types of hair cut styles work good for curly hair? Of course, I can straighten it so I would like to know some styles or websites that contain information on this....Thanks!

I have long very curly hair.....?

- First of all please don't cut your curly hair. I cut my long curly hair and I hate it short. Try cutting a little of your hair and seeing how you like it before you cut it drastically short.

- The shorter curly hair is the curlier it is. It will be harder to wear down short because it will frizz and poof more. Before my hair finally grew out past my shoulders (over the course of 6 or 8 months) it would dry in this ugly triangle shape.

- If you want to grow out your hair after you cut it it will take a long time. Curly hair seems to grow slower because it shrinks as it dries. My hair loses about 4 inches from wet to dry.

- I would also reccomend not straightening your hair. Curly hair is more prone to damage from flat irons. It is also very difficult to straighten curly hair. It is not impossible to wear curly hair down naturally.

- Visit the websites below for more tips on curly hair and please don't cut it short!

I have long very curly hair.....?

Shoulder length bob with layers is easy to do. It give you the versatility to wear it curly or blow it out straight with a ceramic blow-dryer brush and use a flat iron to flip it out or straighten it out. Biolage makes some great products for curly hair. The best place I go to look for hairstyles are the celebrity magazines. I pick out my favorite pictures and then take 4-5 to my hairdresser and let him guide me on which will look good and require the lease amount of work.

I have long very curly hair.....?

OMG!!!! don you dare do a THING to that hair of yours!!!!! i love long curly hair, i just love it, honeslty ill go out wit a girl for that reason only!!!! not many gilrs have there hair cruly and when im going out wit one and i ask if they could try it the all say the same thing "im not going to change the way i look for you" so plz for the sake of me show off your wonderful curly hair to all the women of the world so that maybe i can find a decent gilr to go out wit, thx

I have long very curly hair.....?

A style that works for me is a length just below my earlobes that's longer in the front and shorter in back. My hair "stacks" in the back (kinda like layers, but more volume).

Check out www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.com

I have long very curly hair.....?

I have curly hair too and I've straighten it so much that it's lost it's magic. I would love to have my hair back to normal. But if you're going to cut it, I suggest you cut it in long layers, nothing too short because it might be really puffy.

I have long very curly hair.....?

Go to a curly hair specialist like Ouidad. It is a bit pricey but i think it is worth it.

There are other salons who specialize in curly hair cuts also. Check online for your city.

Hope this helps

Don't brush your hair after you take a shower. Take some mousse and hairspray and crunch your hair after you take a shower. It'll maintain the curls and you don't have to mess with it.

try brushing your hair first when it wet then blowdry it on a low setting when u brush it afterwards use a comb with really far apart picks like a pic comb and brush away the knots with that so it doesnt create a fluffy mess,

I have crazy curly hair..?

brush it when u get out of the shower so u dont get the wavee..

I have crazy curly hair..?

Try a de-frizz or de-tangle cream right after you get out of the shower, and let it sit.

I have curly hair as well and I NEVER brush it.

Along with the de-tangle cream, if you pay attention to how you scrub your hair in the shower, that helps a lot. Try a combing motion with your fingers when you use conditioner (this will act as brushing, but wont be harsh on your hair because its wet). This will get out the tangles, and it will allow your conditioner to moisturize deeper. Let the conditioner stay in for 3-5 minutes to make sure your hair is extra-hydrated.

When you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair until it's no longer sopping and then comb in the de-tangler or de-frizz cream with your fingers, just like you did in the shower.

This will prevent your hair from getting out of control during the day, and it will also remove the need for brushing (which I know can totallllly destroy curls)

I hope this helps, it really works for me :)

I have crazy curly hair..?

ok take it from me i have super natural curly hair and I absolutely hate it...if u think I am weird i understand its just 2 much 2 handle...lol, anyway what I do is use herbal essences shampoo/contioner/musse/spary....it really works and what i do is when I come out of the shower I first put the musse in and use my hands and fingers to comb it through my hair and them I use my hands to flaten it and them I spray a good amount all over my hair dont touch it 4 about 10-15 mins and then I put a headband on and it looks really cute or u dont have 2 use a headband!!!!! Hope this helps!!!!! Happy new year!!!!!! also NEVER brush it!!!!

xoxoxoxo

I have crazy curly hair..?

I have curly hair too!!! Don't brush ur hair use a paddle brush to comb it out or a wide tooth comb! I also use leave in cond. and moose this stuff called curl rocks from catwalk works really good!

I have crazy curly hair..?

comb it at a absolute minimum, use curl defining shanpoos and conditioners, sprays, ect. for stlying use a curling iorn (duh) or a gel wrap yout hair around your fingers and hold a hair dryer next to them while doing so. the more fingers you just the bigger the spiral. good luck!

I have crazy curly hair..?

You have crazy curly hair and you brush it and it gets frizzy. And your wondering why its frizzy and tangled?

* wist your curls. After using a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner, comb hair and towel dry. Apply a gel all over, then begin twisting hair by wrapping sections around your finger. You don't want a uniform look, so twist thick sections of hair and very small sections next to each other.

* Finger-comb hair. After applying moisturizing conditioner in the shower, comb it with a wide-tooth comb while sopping wet. Apply styling product (gel or mousse) and finger-comb hair. Don't brush it!

* Don't handle hair. Once your hair is dry, don't touch it. (Handling dry hair can create frizzies.) If you need to freshen up, arrange your curls carefully and lightly with your fingers. Or, apply hair spray and gently scrunch hair to invigorate curls.

* Keep moisture out. The reason hair goes crazy in humid weather is because the moisture in the air moves into the hair and expands the hair shaft. If your hair is full of conditioner it's more difficult for moisture to enter. Use a weekly hair treatment throughout the summer to keep hair well-conditioned. Always use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is thick, try using a leave-in conditioner.

* Use products for your hair type. If your hair is very fine, be careful not to over-condition it. Use a lighter styling product, like a mousse vs. a gel.

* Try a curl activating product. Sometimes called 'volumizers', these products, available in drug stores, define curls but won't make them 'crunchy' or hard. Apply these to wet hair from root to ends. Allow your hair to dry naturally; loosen curls with your fingers.

* Curl your hair. It takes more time, but using rollers or a curling iron can also help beat frizzies by clearly defining your curls.

* Get the right hair cut. A stylist can cut hair to enhance or tone-down frizz. Very curly hair cut with a razor could frizz, for example. (That's because a tight curl snaps easily and a razor cuts left to right, you could get split ends.) On the other hand, if you have long curly hair a stylist cuts angles inside the hair to add layers, which will enhance your curl. If you want a style that maximizes curl, make sure to tell your stylist!

---

*Never brush your hair dry: Unlike straight hair, which should never be brushed while wet, curly must ALWAYS be brushed when wet, or at least damp. Curly hair is already naturally brittle, so brushing it while dry will only tear it up. Instead, wet your hair and apply conditioner before you brush it. The viscosity of the conditioner will help the brush glide smoothly over your hair and will make knots easy to untangle.

*Find the right brush or comb: Never brush your hair with a fine-toothed brush or comb. Fine-toothed brushes and combs are intended only for thin, straight hair and will therefore damage curly hair. Be sure to buy a wide-toothed comb instead; the curlier your hair, the farther away each tooth should be from its neighbor. Also avoid steel-toothed brushes. Your brushes and combs should only be made of plastic or wood. Steel-toothed combs are too harsh for curly hair and will make it frizzier, even if the hair is brushed while wet.

*Be smart about shampoo and conditioner: Never buy conditioner or shampoo intended for all hair types. Curly hair requires very special treatment so only buy hair products made specifically for it.

*Always condition: Every time you shampoo your hair, you should also thoroughly condition it. Because curly hair is naturally dry, it is in constant need of moisturizer in order to look fresh and clean.

* Never blow-dry curly hair, as the heat will only further dry up your hair and cause it become frizzier. Instead, always air-dry your hair.

*Avoid using hair dye: The more often you dye your hair, the more damaged it becomes as the processing strips your hair of the few natural oils it has. Excessive dying will even make straight hair frizzy, so imagine what it can do to a curl girl's tresses.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

I recently (as in two weeks ago) got a wavy weave, using human hair, premium now, brand magic wave hair. However with daily brushing, the hair as lost the majority of it wave with one side of my hair being pratcially straight, which sucks as my attraction the hair was the waves.

1)So my question is it possibe for me to get the waves to the form they once WERE, i.e deep waves, and how do I do this??

2)How is it best to maintain wavy weave, please could I have step by step instructions lol

thanks ladies xxx

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Wash your hair and put a light conditioner on it, towel dry then using a bobble tie the hair up from the bottom of the hair upwards into a kind of bun. allow to dry naturally and leave it in as long as you can, when its still damp apply a small amount of moose to the bun, leave a while longer then shake your hair loose. you can finish off the look by applying a touch of serum to the ends to gloss it over !! wavy hair!! :O)

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

have you tried talking to your hairdresser?

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Okay, you should have been given these tips at the salon. If you had it done at home you should have read the instructions, as every hair care is different.

Anyway, Wash the weave- make sure not to be aggressive with it. apply a treatment onto it(I love botanicals range for that). and leave on for 10-15 minutes. wash out and leane to dry naturally, making sure to COMB it out slowly, and use a tiny amount of grease/oil whatever you use. this should help it to go back to its original style. alternatively, you could get a new one put in...

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

You can style it the same as human hair.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

Unweave it.

Wavy hair weave dilemma !! please help?

use mousse and curling tongs

Question about wavy,thinning hair...?

I have very wavy hair and I have always had a high hairline. When I brush it down it makes my hair line look better but my hair is thinning on the left and right side and because it's so wavy and curly it wont stay down when i brush it down. Anybody have any advice or know products to buy that can help with thinning hair or getting rid of waves and curles? Thanks

Question about wavy,thinning hair...?

"Brushing it down" sounds like you're dangerously close to combover territory. Don't do it. Just don't.

If your hair is thinning, then get it cut shorter. I'm serious. A guy who accepts and embraces the bald is much MUCH more attractive than one who tries to hide it.

Question about wavy,thinning hair...?

Hair is made from protein, so try eating protein rich food and reduce the stress in your daily life. More tips at http://myhair.info

Question about wavy,thinning hair...?

Only brush your hair when necessary. Also buy good shampoo that will bring some nutrients to your hair, a good cheap product is pantein pro-v. To style, buy pomade, that will help hold down your waves and curls without leaving that gross residue that hairgel does. Good luck!

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

It's started falling out loads more than usual. Shes not blow drying or straightening, and only brushes once a day. She changes her hair products and doesn't feel stressed at the moment. It's not patchy and she's not looking bald or anything, (yet!!) but just where shes used to getting a few loose hairs in her brush like everyone, over the last few weeks shes been getting 10 times as much. Anyone got any ideas???

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

there are several reasons for hair falling . they are dandruff, stress, lack of sufficient nutritional food in taking and genetic factor. consult a good dermatologist and the problem be solved.

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

She could be anemic or deficient in some other vitamin or mineral. She could also have a thyroid problem. It could be a side effect to medications. Or, it could very possibly be due to stress. She needs to go to her health care provider and have some bloodwork obtained. I am a nurse practitioner.

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

ere are some possible reasons for her hair loss:

What causes hair loss?

Everyone loses approximately 100 hairs every single day throughout life. On average blondes and brunettes each have about 150,000 or so hairs on their head--fewer for redheads. The hairs grow at a rate of six inches a year, then rest. They rest as part of the normal life cycle, and then fall out after four to five years. Hair loss occurs when either the lost hairs are not replaced or more of the follicles go into the resting phase. The exact cause might be:

Hormone Changes

Male-Pattern Baldness-Receding hair line with a bald spot on the crown

About one in four men has already started to lose his hair before the age of 30, and by the time they are 60 years old, two out of three men are bald or going bald.

Female Pattern Baldness-Overall thinning

Pregnancy

Menopause

Fungal Infections of the Scalp

Chronic Diseases, such as:

Thyroid Disorders

Hyperthyroidism

Hypothyroidism

Diabetes

Lupus

Stress

Major Surgery

Labor

Medications

Anticoagulants

Antidepressants

Birth Control Pills

Gout Medicine

Chemotherapy

Beta Blockers

Blood Thinners (warfarin, heparin)

Medicines for the Prevention of Ulcers

Several Drugs Used to Treat Arthritis (among them gold, methotrexate)

Certain Antibiotics (nitrofurantoin)

Some Cough Medicines (those containing iodine)

Some Thyroid Medication

Amphetamines

Isotretinoin or Other Derivatives of Vitamin A

Severe Malnutrition

Anorexia

Bulimia

Zinc Deficiency

Vitamins

Excess Vitamin A or E

Tugging ("traction alopecia")

Corn Rows

Rollers

Pony Tails

Damage from Cosmetic Processing

Bleaching

Permanents

Coloring

Curling Irons

How can I sort out what is responsible for my hair loss?

To determine the cause of hair loss, a dermatologist will first take a thorough patient history.

The physician will ask questions regarding medications, recent illness, diet, hair care, (and menstrual cycle, if applicable).

In some cases blood tests or a scalp biopsy (skin sample) may be done.

Will the hair grow back?

Whether or not hair will re-grow depends upon the specific cause of the hair loss.

Hair lost from falling out or breakage from processing will come back; however, if chemicals caused scarring, bald spots will be permanent

When a patient stops taking medicines or chemotherapy, hair growth will resume.

Curing an infection should fix the problem.

A few months after giving birth, a woman's hair should begin to fill in.

Going off of the pill should reverse hair loss from the contraceptive.

Correcting hormonal imbalances (of either the female and male hormones, estrogens and androgens, or of thyroid hormones) prevents additional hair loss, but hair may not re-grow.

Is there anything I can do about my receding hairline?

Male- and female- pattern baldness are inherited, so they are unavoidable. Hair transplantation is the only permanent solution. FDA-approved treatment products retard hair loss in some individuals, but the drugs are less effective at stimulating new growth:

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

Is she pregnant it was my wife's first sign it did stop after a while though,

could be an allergy to for eg clothes dye

But you really should see a specialist

My girlfriends hair is falling out, any ideas???

I visited the doctor on several occasions for the same thing, when I washed my hair it was really frightening the amount of hair that came out. Eventually I had my ferritin level checked, this is the iron stores within the body, although your haemoglobin level can be okay so you do not appear to be anaemic your ferritin levels can be low and this can lead to hair loss, mine was extremely low, I took Iron tablets for a long period and although you may not always have regrowth of the hair that was lost it does stop falling out. My level was only 4 the norm should be around 18 and the level it needs to be for hair regrowth is believe it or not around 60 (this level was given to me by the specialist) once at this level obviously reduce the iron intake. Do get her to see the doc and specifically ask for the ferritin level to be checked, they are always very quick to put it down to stress and the haemoglobin level does not always show any problems. Good luck

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

like when i take a shower or brush my hair

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

stress--go see a doctor cuz could be a vitamin deficiency

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

One word- STRESS

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

Stress? and u do loss hair everytime u brush

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

It could also be a medication you are on. I knew someone who had been on the Depo Provera (birth control) shot for several years, and her hair started falling out slowly as a result. Her doctor took her off of it, and the problem stopped.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

Hair loss can be caused by several things such as your diet, genetics, or also if you dye your hair. Hair loss isn't always a bad thing because it can mean that new hair is coming in. Everyone looses a little hair especially when they shower or comb it.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

The average person looses hundreds of strands of hair each day. It's gross to look at my drain plug after a shower. Things like dyeing or perming or straightening can make it even more obvious. However... no one is going to go bald from that. Don't worry.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

Stress - if is falling out slowly then I wouldn't worry about it. I lose tons of hair everyday, but I won't be bald anytime soon.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

It could be a variety of things. First don't panic, it could be stress, it also could be related to not getting the right vitamins and minerals in your diet. I would make an appt. with a doctor and see what they suggest for you. I'm sure it's something you don't have to worry about.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

No unless its falling out in huge clumps you lose about 100 hairs a day every day.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

Hair loss can be the sign of something serious. Make an appointment to see your doctor. In the meantime, start taking a multi-vitamin and see if that helps.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

It could be due to stress, malnutrition, or just general breakage due to keeping it in a ponytail or something like that. Talk to your doctor if you notice thinning areas on your head.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

its normal to lose hair everyday. Increased loss could be vitamin deficiencies, medications, and stress. I'd taking vitamins, eat well, relieve stress and see a MD if thats not helping.

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

the change of the weather, season is like that, every one loss much hair in this season

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

ok well are you eating what you are supposed to be eating every day not only that are you amazingly stressed right now if you are there are some reasons but theres also other things like the shampoo your using or the gel i wouldnt put anything in my hair until i figured out what was up

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

i work with hair and nails all the time,it could be stress or if u are on med's,or if u dye your hair, dont do that but every 6 or 8 months or less is better!!! also if you are a smoker it will cause that too!! take vitamin b12 it will make your hair and nails strong and grow long both of them!!!! also everyone lose's hair when they shower and brush. dont brush your hair when it is wet,its really bad for it!! wait until its about dry!

have a blessed day

My hair is falling out very slowly and i dnt know y...wut could be causing this?

Hair loss is not an uncommon problem. In fact, falling hair is a lot more common than you might think. Men, women, adults, and teenagers are all at risk for developing some type of hair loss at various times in their lives. But knowing how and why people experience falling hair problems is a step in the right direction toward controlling the issue.

One of the most stressful and worrisome days that a person can have is the day that he notices the shower of falling hair coming from his head. Or maybe it is when she finds clumps of falling hair caught in the teeth of her hairbrush. Regardless of how the discovery is made, the problem of hair loss affects millions of people every day, so you are not alone. Falling hair can be caused by several factors alone or through a combination of them.

Causes of Falling Hair

閳?Heredity. Unfortunately, this is the one cause of falling hair that patients can do very little about, as genes dictate the propensity for hair loss.

閳?Aging. As men and women get older, their hair generally thins out on top and begins falling. This is one of the more common causes of falling hair.

閳?Stress. Especially for women, falling hair can be a direct result of some stressful situation in the person閳?s life such as divorce, a death in the family, or menopause.

But there is hope for sufferers of falling hair syndrome. There are a variety of treatments and medications that can be tried to help slow or reverse hair loss. Since each patient is different, a doctor should always be consulted to determine the best route to combat the condition of falling hair.

Remedies for Falling Hair

閳?Medicines. There are a host of quality and safe medicines, such as topical agents and prescription drugs, that will prevent falling hair from becoming worse.

閳?Vitamins. Vitamins and herbs have been shown effective treatments for hair loss in thousands of cases all across the country.

閳?Surgery. Usually a last attempt, surgery is available for those who want a radical and immediate improvement in their falling hair condition.
