My mother takes gelatin pills that help her nails and hair grow. However brushing your hair does nothing to help it grow, only break hairs.

That is a myth! Brushing your hair too much causes breakage.

nope. shine maybe

Sounds like a wives' tale to me. If it does anything it should increase the blood circulation underneath your scalp which should be beneficial for your hair's growth. But I don't think you should count to a hundred if you do want to go through with such a routine.

no

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

No not at all!! It grows if you brush it everyday and take care of your hair like washing it everyday blow dry it out.. But for me I let my hair air dry instead of blow drying it and I think it grows faster!!!!!

Brushing will cause breakage, try taking in more B vitamins and proteins. I have noticed that once I consume more of these my hair looks fantastic! Also try better quality shampoo.

You would actually make it break faster. You arent suppose to do that, try massaging your head for 10 minutes a day to stimulate growth.

Thats a bad idea. Brushing your hair too much strips the hair of its natural oils that help keep it healthy and shiny and just increase the possibility of giving you more split ends by constantly pulling and breaking by brushing. If you want your hair to grow healthy, have a good hair regime, good shampoo and conditioner and a treatment to put in everytime you wash your hair or once a week depending on its strength. Regular trims are a must because split ends get worse as they go along and then you end up having to cut more of your hair away to get rid of them.

Hair grows from the root, not the end. Brushing it will not make it grow longer. Cutting off the spilit ends will not make it grow longer either, although it will prevent breakage at the ends which could result in shorter hair.

Once it has emerged from your scalp is has no facility for renewing itself. It is considered to be dead protein.

The average person has around 100,000 strands of hair on their head and the average rate of growth is a mere one-half of an inch per month.

By the time the ends of your hair actually grow down to your shoulders, they are approximately two years old.

The right vitamins and minerals play a major role in keeping your hair healthy. Any nutritional deficiencies can lead to thinning hair or even total baldness.

It is a well known fact that an under active thyroid can result in frizzy or brittle hair while an overactive thyroid turn hair greasy and limp.

The bottom line to this thread is that your hair ultimately reflects the overall condition of your body. If your body is healthy and well nourished, your hair will be your shining glory.

If you are having any health problems or suffering from any nutritional deficiencies, your hair may stop growing or show damage.

If your body is in good health, you can maximize your genetic growth cycle through taking the proper blend of amino acids and B-vitamins.

It is also important to include B-6, biotin, Inositol and folic acid in the supplemental program. It has been found that certain minerals including magnesium, sulfur, silica and zinc are also very important toward maintaining healthy hair.

Beta-carotene is also essential to hair growth. This is because it is converted to vitamin A as the body needs it, helps maintain normal growth and bone development, protective sheathing around nerve fibers, as well as promoting healthy skin, hair and nails.

Beta-carotene is found in green and yellow vegetables and fruits.

Excessive stress and some medications are conclusively known to retard hair growth. If you have a medical condition and your physician has prescribed medications it is imperative that you follow your doctor's orders regardless of the impact to your hair,

Here are some other hair growing tips:

Eliminate or cut back on smoking, caffeine and carbonated sodas which weaken the body and block maximum hair growing potential.

Eat a healthy diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat.

Treat your hair like a piece of fine old lace. Treat it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling.

Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair.

Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.

Do a series of ongoing hot oil treatments to protect the hair's shaft.

Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.

Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair.

If you brush your hair that much it causes breakage and it starts to fall out and makes it dry looking.... If you want your hair to grow longer and healthy you should do this...

Try to get shampoos with natural plant exracts...the best is probably herbal esense, then you shampoo with which ever one you pick...there is like I want straight hair, less frizzy, more bounce, more volume and body, curly, ect,

When you shampoo your supposed to massage your scalp with both hands you just rub the shampoo on the scalp and gently massage it....

Get your hair trimed a little bit ....you can even do it your self...Just trim a little bit...maybe like a cm , once a month.

Dont do any dying of the hair or anything that drys it out because when it is dry or greesy its slows down hair growth.

Good Luck...Any more questions...I am good @ hair questions because my cousin went to beauty school and taught me everything...I also took a beauty and Hair class!

Hope your hair gets longer!!

nope it doesnt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

brushing 100 times before you go to sleep??? yes because it massages our scalp and stimulates our hair follicles which give luster to dull hair -- .that is: if you could religiously comply brushing 100 times

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

No..no

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

yeah but not 100 times only at night because the oil of scalp will go down with the brush to the ends , try to eat seafood with lemon %26amp; zink %26amp; calcium %26amp; milk that would grow it fast

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

No-- but it can help your hair;; but may make it greasier quicker x

Women in the old days used to do this... but they did it because they didn't have much in the way of conditioner and by brushing it so much they were able to stimulate the natural oils in their scalp and brush it throughout their hair to make it shiny. They also used 100% natural bristle brushes to achieve the result, whereas most of our brushes today are made of plastic.. resulting in breakage. Hair does not grow very fast and there is no way of making it dramatically do so. Instead try to take really great care of it and avoid over styling with heat and excessive combing while wet.

I brush my hair with a nice paddle brush every nite and I do think it helps. It stimulates the scalp and brings the natural oils from the scalp to the ends.Right now my hair is to the middle of my back and healthy looking ,no split ends.If you want it to grow faster take vitamins (prenatal ones are best).

I usually don't answer questions like this but I disagreed with what others were saying.

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

No.

have a healthy diet and lifestyle is all you can do. your hair grows at the same rate all the time no matter what you do (as long as your healthy)

Is brushing ur hair 100 times could make it grow faster?

Well, first of all brushing your hair too often actually isn't good for it, so I definitely wouldn't do it 100x. Also, it's best have your hair trimmed more often (every 6-8 weeks) rather than letting it get long and then trimming it. The reason for this is that the longer you have split ends in your hair, the farther up the hair shaft they split, meaning that if you wait until your hair is long to trim it you would need alot more legnth taken off to remove the split ends. It would be pointless. Also, despite what many believe, there is no miracle method that makes hair grow faster. The rate at which a person's hair grows is pretty much predetermined by genetics. You can however, try to keep your hair as healthy as possible (by keeping it trimmed and hydrated) and getting all of your daily vitamins. There is no guarantee that this will make your hair grow faster (it probably won't) but your hair will look very healthy this way. Oh, and to the possible suggestion you might receive about taking prenatal vitamins to make hair grow faster, I wouldn't recommend it. It MIGHT make your hair grow a little faster, but there are other possible side effects as well. (including the possibility that they could make your hair begin to slowly fall out, among other things.) Prenatal vitamins should only be taken if you're pregnant.

no, it does not
