This is kind of a weird question about my baby's hair...?

My son is 7 1/2 months old and bi-racial (caucasion and african american). He started out with straight silky baby hair, then it turned wavy and then curly. For the last 2-3 months he has had this one spot on the back of his head that was courser and frizzy. Over the last week he has started to have a spot in the front and on the sides that looks kind of like this but is soft, fine and frizzy (but only when he first wakes up if he had a bath before bed). Is this how mixed childrens hair changes?Spot by spot? I just don't know. I spray soft %26amp; precious detangler (for african american hair) on it and brush it and it looks like big soft curls again. Also, all his hair is still his same baby hair he was born with (the curly hair) EXCEPT where he rubbed his hair out on the sides when he was younger and this has come back in straight! I just wondered if he is going to have two different textures of hair or what? haha Also-I switch between johnsons cond shampoo %26amp; soft%26amp;precious shampoo

Try this: http://www.aubrey-organics.com/product1.... More expensive but worth it.

Should work well for your son and much healthier than Soft %26amp; Precious which has Sodium Laureth Sulfate as the second ingredient. Here's what we know about this chemical:

This inexpensive detergent is commonly used in cosmetic cleansers, hair shampoos, bath and shower gels, bubble baths, etc. - It is probably the most dangerous ingredient used in skin and hair-care products. In the cleaning industry SLS is used in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers, car-wash soaps, etc. It is very corrosive and readily attacks greasy surfaces.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is used throughout the world for clinical testing as a primary skin irritant. Laboratories use it to irritate skin on test animals and humans so that they may then test healing agents to see how effective they are on the irritated skin.

A study at the University of Georgia Medical College, indicated that SLS penetrated into the eyes as well as brain, heart, liver, etc., and showed long-term retention in the tissues. The study also indicated that SLS penetrated young children's eyes and prevented them from developing properly and caused cataracts to develop In adults.

You're welcome. :-) By the way, don't worry about the different things your little one's hair is doing. It will all even out. My little guy has poker straight hair and its way longer on top so it sticks up like a mohawk! HA! I get comments (people think its cute) everywhere I go! Report It

Thats funny! You can never tell how bi-racial children will turn out. My son is half Vietnamese and half white. He was born with red hair! its starting to come in black now ( he is 7 months) but is still red at the tips. It sticks straight up and its like 2 inches long! You just can never tell. Ive seen lots of bi-racial children with weird patches on their heads. I've heard that it usually evens out at around a year. I added a pic of my son so you can see how crazy his hair is.......
