How do other girls keep their hair so nice?

Seriously, even if I brush my hair every ten minutes, it always looks terrible. Even if I put gel or anything in it. It is kind of wavy and it always ends up all over the place. What do I do?

I have the same problem! I'm considering buying a hair straightener. That seems to do the trick for some people. And also smoothing balm works. I just use some real conditioner and I smooth it through my hair and then I spritz a little bit of hairspray on. Might help but it's really only temporary. My hair hates me. :P

I'm just kinda lucky...sorry...my hair is naturally straight. But sometimes it's annoying! I can never curl it easily. Takes a long time. I guess it's the same with your hair...to straighten it would take a while. What I do is wash it every day with shampoo and conditioner (I think I use too much, but I don't really care) and then I let it dry a little. I then blow-dry it straight...I hold the brush against my hair and bring the dryer down with my hair. It won't be the same for you...because mine is completely different!

try using different shampoos and conditioners that specialize in keeping hair nice and stuff. i dont know alot. But ive got long brownish curly hair. and it always stays nice, and i dont use anythign special. and i think thats exactly why. I dont damage my hair like others. i dont straighten, use hair spray or anything that might hurt my hair.

don't brush it to much! it will break the hair cuticle and make your hair look dull.

well. you could straighten it with a really good straightener. i have a CHI and it works really well. sometimes the type of shampoo and conditioner effects your hair. i use either the Jhon Frieda Collection or Sunsilk. and my hair almost never frizzes.

One thing I have found helpful, is to put a good conditioner, in a spray bottle, mix it with water, and spray my hair when it just won;t do what I want it to. I do brush it about a hundred times, rather than wash it too often, and I apply aloe vera to it also. I grow aloe vera, so I put it on right from the plant. Too much washing can make it dry.
